Leading Through Service
Leadership Toledo balances service and volunteerism with personal growth. Through this program, participants can develop a deeper understanding of our region, its strengths, and many of the issues it faces. At the same time, they'll have the opportunity to explore their own personal strengths and talents, and use them to improve and enrich our community.
This nine-month experiential program provides individuals with the opportunity to become more confident leaders, connect with the community on a deeper level, grow stronger in self-awareness, and serve in ways that are meaningful to them. Participants from diverse backgrounds and professions come together each month for intensive sessions that focus on community needs and issues, and define the roles they can play in addressing those needs.
Each monthly session features both educational and participatory experiences, including dialog and development of professional relationships among class members. In addition to the regular sessions, participants work in teams performing community volunteer projects to be completed by the end of the program year.
Leadership Toledo seeks candidates who have already exhibited leadership in their respective spheres of influence and desire to grow as leaders and members of the community. The class size is limited to no more than 45 individuals. Tuition is $2,950, which includes all materials, a light breakfast, and lunch at most sessions.
